I would be grateful for any information. I’m moving where I’mliving at the moment to another area to live eg moving from Clonee to Maynooth.

1 I was wondering what I have to do, when I go into my localwelfare office, is it an easy procedure.

2 If I move toanother welfare office does my claim just continue r will I have to be meaningtested again / interviewed again etc andstart my claim all over again?

3 How long will I have to wait to get my benefit s in mynew area?

Any advice would be grateful, this site is great for information, its so hard to get any info on benefits and I find this site invaluable, sothanx for any responses.

When you have moved go to the branch office in Maynooth and bring photo ID and proof of address. If there are no change in circumstances, other that the move, there should be no review. If you are now living with a partner or not it would have to be reviwed. It won't be a new claim, it will be the same claim just under a new office. If it is straight forward a transfer could take about 2 weeks. During this time the claim would be suspended and you could go to the Community Welfare Officer for payment while waiting.
