I saw a few bottles of this in the local offie the other week so I picked one up for the craic. Not sure why, I guess it was the name that caught my eye but even then I knew I should know better. I got around to sampling it last night. I'd put it on a par with muck like Heineken and it seemed pretty close to that style and taste. Nothing exciting or the least bit memorable about the beer at all. I guess they're going after the market that gets all hyped over the name. I certainly will be passing it by on the shelves in future.

I've come across it in Cork. The green labelling and unusual name on the bottle might be attractive, but the stuff inside certainly is not. Very similar in taste to Stella i.e. complete pi$$.

Of course everyone think it's just a bold marketing stunt, but Fúcking is the name of an actual village on the Austrian/German border, with 'Hell' being the German for 'light'.

I've had Raging Bitch, Arrogant Bastard, and Doggie Style. All great. Never had F-ing Hell, though it sounds like I am not missing much.

Thing is, hell is an adjective, helles is the noun for a light coloured beer.
I guess Fúcking Helles wouldn't have sounded as good.
Very ordinary lager by all accounts.

The helles is only ok but there was a really interesting set of trade mark disputes about the brewers using the name Fúcking for it.

But the adjective goes at the end of the phrase, though, right?
