    Hi all
Recently seen a horse lorry for sale in England. I'm in Ireland. Contacted the seller and he only wants to sell through eBay because of there buyer protection. I've never bought anything of this kind on eBay so just wondering about concerns it what to look out for.?

    Cheers

Answer is obvious really. There's no issue making the purchase through eBay provided you've inspected and test-driven the lorry and checked that all the paperwork is in order prior to bidding.

Basically do all the ground-work you'd normally do for a cash purchase.

Strange that he'd only want to sell through eBay for buyer protection. You'd think someone would want to sell it for cash so they have more protection e.g. the buyer of the lorry sets up a dispute on eBay.

I'd be careful sending that much through Paypal if thats how he's looking for payment before you collect. I'd only agree to it if you could go over and make the payment on eBay while collecting the lorry.
