A particularly difficult one. Intimate, but without the touching. Or confiding, or any if that stuff indeed a lifetime of suspicion as to each others sexuality despite the fact you only ever harped on about women in that regard

And probably hinder each others progress - they may reveal their hand almost forcibly giving off a "look I am only in this life for one woman whom I love, cherish and that ive.. not met yet. But soon as I do, you're gone!!" kinda vibe until it occurs to him he might need at least one actual friend in this life having realized he's just not a hit with the women, not for money let alone love. And in doing so shows his philosophical potential and that, is when true friendship dawns and when the more successful guy without even trying finally gets the friend he did crave moreso. And that is BFF.
