At least it's undoable! Matte is the worst fashion trend since CB aerials in cars with no CB's.

I actually think that looks well, pity its on a diesel, and atleast in 3 years time or so the next owner can pull it off , have it cleaned up and have an immaculate black a6

Personally, I'd sooner spend the money on a better engine or higher specification. Still, if it makes the owner happy..

...I'm failing to see what's wrong with 313bhp, tbh........

Love the matt black look myself and I'd have that bi-turbo diesel before an equivalent powered petrol. Loads of power and wont destroy your pocket in running costs (both fuel and tax). Always liked the idea of a really powerful diesel.

edit: Tax is only 570 euro a year

    Ah.

But still: 313bhp is 313bhp. To buy the same performance in petrol would (I assume..), cost more. Certainly in tax.2k+ p.a. ??

3k in purchase price will easily be made back and more in running costs though and the diesel will be worth 1000's more and be much easier move on come resale/trade in time.

You think just because that's a diesel it's gonna be light on fuel?
It's got two bloody turbos and a narrow power band, that's a foot to the floor car.

It wont be light but it will be better than the equivalent petrol even in foot to the floor situations and will return much better mpg in day to day driving.

If they do it like the BMW twin turbo it won't be a huge issue.

Plus driven normally it won't be an issue. If the narrow powerband is a constant issue with diesels then people are either driving the arse out of the car or can't drive properly imo.

It looks good but not my taste, in saying that if I began to see more like this I may begin to like it more. As for it being diesel I agree with other posters, it is a better buy and re sale value will hold, petrols depreciates much quicker and personally I'd go for diesel every time

Yes, but in 4 years time, the petrol will be cheaper by many thousands, and will most likely be more reliable too, making it the best used buy! Couple that with a nicer sounding engine and a more linear power band and it's one to watch for in a few years!

I'm more disgusted with the €570 tax vs the €710 I pay for a 2L diesel with less than half the power output, but I'm not a fan of this either.. think it looked better before they started.

Mostly the second, tbh. Or just spouting the usual nonsense.

Do you have to be a drug dealer to buy one?
Wonder what its value is now,.. less than it was before I'd think.
