Best way to go for temporary (2-month) accommodation?

2 friends are moving over to Ireland for a 2-month work practice near Kinsale. They are considering their accommodation options: short-term lease on a standard apartment, a 2-month deal with a hostel/B&B or anything on a budget, really.

Any ideas? Do landlords do short-term leases these days? Is there anywhere to look for rooms in shared flats? Has anyone stayed in a hostel for longer period, do they do weekly/monthly deals?

Or if you have any other suggestions (not necessarily Kinsale-specific), any information/opinions would be greatly appreciated!

If you look at Daft .ie there is a section devoted to Holiday and short term lets .

I actually had a look at them already and they seemed to be more holiday lettings than something to suit student budget for 8 weeks. They won't have a car so they're looking somewhere along public transport routes. A 2-bed flat or a twin room in a shared house would be ideal. Are there any websites with houseshare ads?

Contact the local hostels to see if they'd do a cheap rate for a long stay in a private room? There are about 14 hostels there, so I'm sure you'd either find one close to the place they'll be working, or on a good transport route.
