tethering on samsung omnia 7?

I remember looking into this before and concluding it wasn't possible with meteor. Has anyone got tethering to work ok on Samsung Omnia 7 on an Irish network? edit: Phone driver won't install on windows 8. Just gives message saying the OS is not supported. Stupid really because a Vista/W7 driver will almost certainly work…

edit 2: Well it doesn't work on W7 either I discovered...both 64 bit
