Imperialism/Empiricism Vs Anti-Imperialism/Romanticism

    Hi all,

    Am trying to think of works of literature which:

    a) Espouse an imperialist world-view (Gulliver's Travels, Robinson Crusoe etc...) and rely on empiricism for their narrative techniques and;

    b) espouse anti-colonial sentiments and shun empiricism in favour of some romanticised and mythologised techniques (thinking especially of 'A Nation Once Again').

    Even if I have answered my own questions, could someone with more expertise in these areas possibly go into more detail?

    Thanks,
    Mark.
