What Happened at Dillon's Cross Last Night?

    Does anyone know??

We were driving up Gordon's Hill last night about 5.45pm. Traffic backed up all the way down the hill. When we eventually got to the top, Old Youghal Road was taped off and Gards were directing traffic.

Our neighbours told us they passed through earlier, and told us they were forced to leave their car at home as the Gards wouldn't let them pass.

Oh no! Old Youghal Road's a terror to get up and down. Narrow road, cars parked both sides and no-one wanting to give way...

    Hope the child's OK.

It was a hit and run. The boy is being treated in hospital for fractures to his leg.

Gardaí are appealing to the driver of a beige or silver coloured Nissan Primera car that was in the area at that time to contact them.
