I would love to buy a pair of skinny jeans, but so far I have been unsuccessful in my search. I have looked in a number of shops, but they did not stock them. Does anyone know of a shop that stocks men's skinny jeans and what brands should I look out for?

Topman have a decent selection and so do River Island Men's section also maybe try H&M. Or ASOS if you would be interested in shopping online :)

Thanks guys for your suggestions. Yesterday, I visited my local River Island shop to buy a pair of skinny jeans. I had never shopped for jeans there before and I was impressed with their selection. They even have a section with all styles of skinny jeans - skinny heaven! Anyway, I was able to get a perfect pair of blue faded skinny jeans that fitted perfectly. The jeans cost €35, which is more than I would normally pay for a pair of jeans, but then who would put a price on a pair of perfectly fitting jeans of good quality.

I just love my new skinnies as they are really skin tight and fit like a glove, but are still comfortable to wear. I then bought myself a matching denim shirt and denim jacket to go with my new skinny jeans. A good evenings shopping!

Each to their own but there is no way that will look good, but whatever makes you happy.

This afternoon, I was shopping in my local branch of Penny's where I found some skinny jeans in the men's section. They are made of black denim and they are both skinny and low rise - could not believe my luck! At only €15 per pair, I bought two pairs there and then. Great value!

Since purchasing my first pair of skinny jeans last week , I must say that they are the best fitting and most flattering jeans that I have ever worn. I have worn them everyday this week and I could not imagine wearing any other type of jeans from now on. I have also bought some new boots to go with my skinnies. I just love my Skinny Jeans - best fitting jeans ever!

I would wear them with leather over the knee boots.

To those of you guys who are anti-skinny jeans. Yesterday as I waited at a bus-stop wearing my skinnies, two attractive girls came over to me and said that they loved my jeans and asked me where I bought them. They added that I looked great in my skinnies. Never had such an experience wearing straight or boot cut jeans.

they must be so uncomfortable though!

Actually, Skinny Jeans are made with stretch denim and are very comfortable to wear. Try them, you'll like them!

Slim as opposed to skinny are better I think....

Penny's now have a great selection of Skinny Jeans in their men's department. They are in different colours and cost only €15. Penny's also have denim shirts and denim jackets to match the jeans.

+ 1 on that. Though anything is better than bootcut.

Now that I am a convert to Skinny Jeans, I feel that they show off a nice pair of boots much better than boot cut jeans. The boot cut jeans just cover up the boots so that no one can see them. Any opinions?

I feel that skinny jeans on guys are pretty hideous to be honest. They just make your body look awkard and top heavy. And when combined with boots they give a very feminine appearance. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned but really don't like the skinny jeans fad. Have tried them on to give them a go, hideously uncomfortable and restrictive to movement. And guys who are in any way sporty just can't wear them as they don't let you have any bulk in your legs at all.

    Rant over.

Standard boot cut jeans all the way. With a nice smart shirt. And never anything buttoned up all the way to the top button. Madness.

I would steer clear of the skinny, and stay with the slim. I agree, they do show off a nice pair of boots, such as motorcycle style boots for example.
For example, James Hetfield, in the early 90s, apart from wearing spandex, started wearing slim jeans with his motorcycle boots, and that style hasn't aged much really. The only thing that really changed was his hair style and build...
I used to wear bootcut Levis chords for a while back in the 90s, but wouldn't go near them again...

As regards skinny jeans worn with boots being described as ' feminine ' , jeans and boots were originally male apparel before they became fashionable for women. Skinny jeans emphasize the male form to perfection IMO and look and feel great to wear.

So why do you care if other people prefer other styles?

I don't care if people prefer other styles of jeans to skinny ones. If you prefer straight or boot cut jeans, then they are the ones for you. Actually, I used to wear boot cut jeans until I discovered the pleasure of wearing skinny jeans. Just expressing an opinion!

As for not being able to wear slim jeans if you're sporty? Bollocks, I've got big rectangular calfs and I don't look in any way awkward in them. But lads, leave the painted on stuff to the ladies.
Give it a go sure but leave it at that. :p

I love ladies in skin tight painted on jeans, but us lads who can squeeze into skinny jeans and who have the guts to wear them, should also enjoy the pleasure of wearing them without ridicule.
