Im a first year social science student in UCC. Exams are really only around the corner so I'v started studying and predicting exam questions (Whats new!) I'm kinda worried about social policy SS1010, the course is so long, broad and different I'm not sure what to expect, or study!!
Sooo, anyone who has sat this module, could ye please give me some advice or tips...is it predictable? I can't seem to find exam papers for it!

You can find the past exam papers here:

The same type of questions ALWAYS come up! I just had a look at last years and theres a few different questions on there since I did it but a lot are still the same eg. Impact of the catholic church, Beveridge, Summarise one decade of social policy development, poor law, health policy etc.

Make sure you go to class in the last week, they will tell you roughly what to expect. You have to write 4 essays and they will generally be very similar to the ones you were given for continuous assessment, so you have at least one done already!

Best of luck with the study!
