EDIT: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Drinking and basic arithmetic don't work together.

Kill the babies and everyone just pays a little extra.

Do your part as an Irish citizen.

Parents pay on behalf; shure can't the kids pay the folks back when they're older!

I'm gonna come clean and say that in my ignorance I misread the figure as 140,000,000 and posted saying 30 quid each..

Then I thought that couldn't be right and quickly edited...

In my rush I made a colossal balls of the maths.

Hunts furiously for calculator with lots of screenspace for 000s. Finds chocolate biscuit. Mmm. Chocolate. Sorry, what was the question again? Edit. Calculator couldn't cope. Exel could. OP, you're a genius. All the kids, spivs and povs can get a 1 year loan off the credit union for their €300, at €1.10 per day. Happy days, the recession is over! Bring on the Boom. Hold on. If it's only €300 each, how come we're all getting screwed for thousands??? I smell a rat. I think Enda might be pulling a fast one. It's always the quiet types...

The Irish National Debt is about €140,000,000,000 so I understand.
    The population is about 5,000,000.

Quick whip around then for about 300 quid each?

UCD gave me an economics degree a while back.

OP can you cover my share? i'll pay ya back. Cheers

That would leave us owing a paltry 138.5 billion?

Taxpayers paid a tidy sum for your education.

Oh yeah, raise all us thickies hopes, I went out and re-mortgaged the garden shed on the basis that you had it sussed. I now owe Crazy dave €600 at 12452% apr thanks to your drunken calculus. You're as much use at solving recessions as David mcWilliams is as a bottle opener.
