You might be able to get it out with a pliers I guess, failing that maybe try bringing it to a cobbler?

Depends on stud type but try get a flat head screwdriver and hammer it into the top of the stud so it indents into the threaded part of the stud and use the screwdriver in the indented part and unscrew the stud.

Ah didn't realise you had nothing to grip onto, in that case I'd go with the flat head screwdriver method mentioned above

It's going to be a pig no matter what you do.

You could try and get a drill with a small drill bit on it and drill into the bit of the stud left in the boot. It might just break up the bit of the stud left and you could then have something to grip with a pliers.

take the insole out, then take the insert out as gently as you can ,this can be difficult without an electric pliers, then tap in a new insert gently with a hammer, put in a new stud and bobs your uncle
