    Hey guys

Basically I'm claiming for one parent family tax credit, on the form its asking for the child's pps number. I live in the north as do my kids but work in the south in the army. The form is asking for a pps number for them but they don't have one as they live in the UK. And they don't get national insurance numbers till they are 16. Tried ringing the tax office there, but its closed - plus I don't get the time during the week as I'm flat out! Was thinking maybe send their birth certs, but afraid of not getting them back.

Anyone any idea's ?? Thanks in advance

Try e-mailing the tax office. Look up your local tax office e-mail address by entering your PPS number on the revenue.ie contact locator. They usually reply within a few weeks.
