Hi all ,just heard Ireland is the FIRST country to find a plant actually labelling horse meat as BEEF. Our reputation is now F**k*d.
Time for all our FARMING LOBBYING GROUPS TO CALL FOR HEADS TO ROLL and defend us farmers and all the hard work it has taken Produce The Highest Quality Meat.Sick to death of being at the butt of every horsemeat joke.

I totally agree,I think because there was no factory found guilty up to now all the groups were keeping quiet. BUT NOW they need to pull there finger out. As you can see i have named IFA ,ICMSA AND ICSA. I am not picking on one lobbying group i'm targeting them all. If they don't take action they can sing for their subscriptions -thats my opinion anyway!!!

In fairness if you have read the farming Independent over the last few weeks or listened to Pat Kenny on the radio you will see that only one farming organisation has been making the running on this issue.
This also includes an interview on Prime Time last week, plus a lot of interviews on local radio.
Must say John Bryan has been very quiet the last few weeks.

THE GAME HAS CHANGED.I don't care who did what up to NOW and i am not targeting one over the other and the last thing i want is farmers from different groups defending their group, that isn't what i want.(Put politics aside) JUST CAN WE ALL SING FROM THE SAME HYMN SHEET...for once because it is our livelyhoods at stake.

The hymn sheet needs to be a new standard agreed between the farm orgs for processors and retailers which we control with a new brand we control and any processor or retailer that wants to claim to be selling Irish beef will need to match our criteria.
