Thinking of upgrading my old DM800, which has and still done me proud. Ive been looking at these Amiko boxes, perhaps the one with multiple tuners.

Do these operate with same features as DM800?

I like to stream to laptops a lot (Would you be able to stream from one tuner and watch from another tuner on a tv?)

Can you drive a motor off 1 tuner and have multiple diseqc switching lnbs off the other tuner?

    Play MKV files?

Obviously you can record from one tuner and watch from another?

The Amiko Alien/ GM Triplex is a much more powerful receiver. It does what the DM800 does and more.

    1. Yes you can stream to laptop/phone/tablet etc.
    2. You can stream to your DM800 using partnership box.
    3. It can drive a motor and use diseqc switch. I currently have 7 satellites running by diseqc off it.
    4. Not sure about MKV files. But check on the thread in terrestrial forum.
    5. Yes it can record one channel and watch another, record 2 channels at one time.
    6. Great web stream playing capabilities on it.

The GM Triplex version is only €175 incl delivery. It uses same firmware as Amiko.

    More info in terrestrial forum.

It's the same box, using st7162 chipset, comes from the same factory in Tangiers.
