Change from taxi tax

    hi please can anyone tell me if it is easy to change car tax from hackney tax that is 95 eur per year to private car tax co2 .i,m thinking of buying a car that has been used as a hackney and change the tax to private use for family?i need to know before i buy,thanks

    Complete the form to tax it when you get it and mark it for private use? They'll be sure to charge you the right rate :D

    Don't think it's any more complicated than that, I'm sure someone on here will shout if I am :)

    Drive with no tax as there are no cops out doing check points. Due to cut backs.

    Correct, they all stay in the stations now 'cos theres no money for petrol or diesel left, place is basically lawless atm. But dont tell anyone

    would be easy enough to drive with no tax, if it wasnt for the ANPR cameras built into the squad cars.

    The anpr has no access to a database just what ever is stored on it ie.they don't know if you have no tax unless previously stopped they still have to ring in for a check
