What's the issue? If you are testing for a leak, check first under each actuator as they can weep a bit. Check the usual suspects also, AAV's, safety valves, etc.
I usually test circuits with an air compressor with a jig I made up for connecting to different size fittings, a lever valve, non-return valve & a pressure gauge.
I would generally also test UFH or underfloor heating pipes for leaks with a thermal image camera. I have my own but there is a company near The Poitin Stil who hire them out for €50 per day.

Why not just do as Shane said, lever valve, non return valve and gauge and a bit of 8mm copper. You could even use a bicycle pump if you can't get a compressor. Leave test on for a few days then

Dont mind paying €20 odd to rent one, just didn't know if you could or not.

Ideally you should keep the ufh pipes under pressure whilst pouring the screed. No point testing and then having someone step on the pipe after or whilst pouring.

Also, make sure you test with air and NOT water !!

Excuse my ignorance but why would I rent a 'water' pressure tester and then try to fill the system with pressuried air?

The pipes will be routed into the floor insulation so should be ok in regards to anyone stepping on them. I had intened to leave them filled with water during the pour.

And will they be freeze proof?

I've seen an entire house underfloor floor heating dug up because the genius who pressurised it used water, left the water in the pipes while the house was being built over the winter.
