I am with Homevision.ie for about 18 months. No issues at all to date, great service.

Got home from work this evening and checked our work website as we had made some updates today. There is all this crap about Generic Viagra and other stuff on the bottom of the home page.

I checked on two ipads, a mac and a windows 7 PC - all of them show the spam on our homepage. Switch to 3G connection on my iPad - crap disappears. So I rang the website admin, he can't see it. Ring a couple of lads from work none of them can see it. Call a friend who is on Homevision as well - he can see it. I also used a proxy to connect to our website and the spam disappears.

So it appears our website displays a load of spam but only when you access it from a Homevision.ie broadband connection.

Tried calling homevision but no answer, left a message, no call back. Anyone got any experience with something like this?

    TIA
    YB

It looks like Homevision use a transparent proxy and that it is caching up some crap. Do you have an rss or feed of any sort on your company website home page

Press CTRL+f5 to force refresh or add a questionmark to force a refresh , eg instead of www.yourcompany.ie try www.yourcompany.ie?az or ideally the feed url with appended ? and chars

Tried the ?az - no change.

Spoke to a buddy of mine who develops websites and he googled our company name and viagra - dozens of results - all of which are linked to out website. He reckons the site is well hacked.............. I've pm'd you the URL if you have any more ideas I'd appreciate it.

    regards

3g could be being filtered(Voda and 3 do it).

Are you sure the logins weren't compromised?

All sorted looks like it was our server and nothing to do with homevision. For some reason only people on homevision.ie broadband could see the links, they were invisible to everyone else. I had people in Poland, UK and USA as well as Ireland looking at it.

We managed to delete bogus code on our homepage. We think it was a hack through Joomla, anyways all sorted now.

Why is the web site still "503 - Service Not Available" ??
