How do I get the stuff left off the car once badge is off?
I've tried petrol, hair drier. Warm soapy water. Not all at once, just wondered has anyone little tips or hints?

Bug and tar remover. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, and it should come straight off.

The other option is to use a baby wipe and the corner of the nail of your finger!

Have you tried brake fluid? guaranteed to lift it. biggrin.pngpacman.gif

Seriously, as antodeco said, tar & bug remover,

Failing that, try just rubbing it with your finger, it might "ball" and lift off.

Note: DO NOT USE BRAKE FLUID,

Cheers cheers, I was to quick in whipping them off. Should of taken my time, I've a little stock of badges in the shed, I could rename the Corsa something else.

Lemon juice, sugar, egg, milk and flour.

Then, after you've eaten your pancakes, you should use tar remover. :)

No wheat allergies and no motivation until the weather gets warmer! But mental notes taken.

Wurths "Industry Clean" is what the signwriting lads use. Will remove the residue and paint stays untouched. Works well on vinyl adhesive as well(ie signwriting off, glue remains etc etc)

Would Acetone work or would it damage the paint?

boiling water and a bit of elbow grease will do the job. (worked for my last car) I would wait till it warms up a bit as throwing boiling water on near zero metal might not be the greatest for the paint!

Did the same, hot water application a few times to loosen things up and then gently used an ice spraper to get the badges off - a doddle.

As has been stated use Tar and Bug removal followed by warm soapy water and quick wax application to the area
