I recently had my bank account cleared out (wont name the bank just yet) but it transpires that my card was used to book flights with a certain airline.
Now the card in question is rarely used and seldom even leaves the house (weekly shopping in the local tesco). the account is used mainly for direct debits to pay bills etc.....

I have spoken to the bank and while i am being refunded I want more detail on who the hell ripped me off . I know the airline the flights were booked with and i have the transaction code but i cant get any further information from the bank

as for the airline ..well lets just say thank god i never booked a flight with them because i havent even been able to contact a single person in the airline

there whole customer service section is a complete joke

I really need to find out who booked the flights with the card ....

    anyone any ideas ....

If the flights were with Ryanair, you might have a chance; I recently booked flights and the reservation number appears on my credit card statement - with this info and your credit card number you should be able to log on to manage the booking online...

Then whoever used your card must have given their real name if they are to board the plane with a valid passport (unless were dealing with the Jackal)...

BOOM!, case closed, just call me Columbo...

If it is your account only then this is clearly a case of theft. Report the matter to the Garda and let them establish who it was - they have more powers to do so than you - even though you appear to be the victim.

    TT

So your card got skimmed, the bank is refunding everything and then you want THEM to investigate how it was skimmed? - sorry, they are a bank not a crime agency.

Be happy its all refunded and move on with life.

well no apparently the card wasnt skimmed according to the bank.
and if i have my money left with a financial ageny i would expect them to protect it . u might be happy to be scammed but I aint . for all i know it could be some one in my office or a friend or something that used the card and i would like to find out.

and apparently the bank do have a crime department and the fraud is being investagated .

so i am happy my money has been refunded and i may find out who the scum bag who robbed me is
