Hi all, ive came across this problem the other day when i was clearing stuff of my macbook, basically i deleted 65gb of movies and when i checked my storage it still read the same number as before. Now when i run mackeeper and check disk usage it seems to come up with the right number.

My macbook is saying i have used 220 of my 250 gig and mackeeper says i have only used 110 of my 250gig.

So what im wondering is there a why to refresh the storage without deleting anything or does this sounds like i have a problem?? Since this ive noticed my final cut pro is running very slow and redering for the simplest things are taking minutes and this was never the case before, its the retina model which is a pretty big spec so it should handle it with ease.

    Please help......Thanks

I know nothing about MACs but when you delete something on Windows it just goes to the recycle bin so it's still taking up room on your drive. You need to delete from the bin to clear the space. Does Apple OS have something similar>
