Flight prices to the USA

    Has anyone noticed how expensive the flight prices are to the USA this year??? It's over 3000 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. I can't believe they have increased so much in the space of a year, what's going on? Aer Lingus is over 4000 euro how do they put bums on seats charging these prices, can't believe they're people out there paying this sort of money. Anyway was interested to see if anyone out there noticed this and what your thoughts were.
