Alright the horse meat scandal although disgraceful was kinda harmless (Healthwise)
But America have their very own fish scandal. Basically 59% of America's Tuna is not Tuna.

Restaurants substituting fish for a cheaper species I would think is a universal problem especially if it is hidden in a sushi roll or a dish with sauce.

It's interesting that you believe the meat producers and grocery shops when they say it's not a health issue.

Some of the horses were suspected of being treated with various medicines that should not be for human consumption.
While it may not worry a healthy adult, small doses of medicines might have adverse side effects on a developing foetus.
