No way, maybe 850, 3 owners, 122k. Petrol, Audi.

That car is too expensive! i wud offer 1200 max if its taxed!

Like them or not, they're desirable, you might get a ratty 02 golf for €850 but that'll make over €1500 easily.

3 owners in 11 years is hardly excessive

    This :)

A price is a price, it's not set in stone. It's there to be negotiated

3 owners ain't bad either, chances are it's been looked after better

Looking at similar 02 audi a3s on carzone and donedeal i thought this was quite cheap! Others are in and around 3k, what am i missing here?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,520 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

You're right, don't worry. Mate got more than that for an 01 with a non working gearbox last year.

If you like A3s then go for it

What do ya think is a more realistic price for this car?

If the car is straight, the price is there or thereabouts, give or take a little haggle-room.

    Eg. A similar car with similar mileage (that you've probably seen already!);

Curious as to why you would not give more than 850?

    How is it too expensive?

OP, the best thing to do is go look at the car and take it for a test drive.

Looks like the car is in ennis, background looks like the back of the petrol station on the lahinch road to me

I simply wudnt expect to pay that price for an 11 year old 1600cc petrol a3 (a golf) with no apparent extras, no apparent tax and 122k miles!.maybe it's just the photos but the paint looks very flat as well...

Guys, difference between Audi A3 1.6 102HP ATTRACTION and regular audi a3? Sorry all new to me:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,520 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Far as I know attraction is the base model

The nct is expired on that car. If you're willing to risk buyin without nct thats a bargaining point for ya.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,557 ✭✭✭mewe

Ah sorry just seen the additional info that the nct was done. Good luck if ya are going for it.

I'd go to town on any flaw ya can find to try and get the price down :)
