As above, anyone know where I might get Cape Gooseberry plants or seeds in Ireland. Thanks in advance.

Brownenvelopeseeds.com do them, saw seeds also in Woodies Sallynoggin last year too , I remember thinking that it was unusual to see them there at the time.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Suttons do seeds and you can pick these up in any Woodies or B&Q as mentioned. Grew them last year, they were lovely. BUt you'd want to get them going soon. Are you growing in a greenhouse /tunnel?

Greenhouse. Grew them a few years ago. As with most things, the ones in the shops are not a patch on the grow your own ones. Cheers

It is very easy to grow them from the seeds in the fresh fruit.

They plants need to be sheltered from frost and strong wind. They need to be supported against a wall or hedge.

Done the very same, just saved seed from shop bought fruit, grew them along the lines of greenhouse tomatoes.

If you PM me your address and I'll post you out the seeds I have left (pretty sure I have an almost full packet). I enjoyed them last year but wouldn't give them the space in my tunnel again.
