08 Mondeo - Reconditioned Engine?

    Hi,
    Mondeo 2008 1.8 diesel broke down yesterday, turns out the oil pump went and now the engine is knackered. Have been told a new engine will be 7K without labour costs.
    So before I make the decision to scrap it, just wondering if anyone can advise on good garages in Dublin that would provide/fit reconditioned engines?
    Have large mileage on it currently (180,000 Km estimate) but the body, internal etc are perfect so I am loath to sell for scrap.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Just get a secondhand engine and have it fitted.
