Anyone had a bike or shoe fitting done at a Specialized retailer?
    Any opinions on it?

Had some issues with my shoes lately and wondering how accurate Specialized sizing is!

I was in Cycleways at one stage to look at the Specialized shoes there, and I got to stand on the foot yoke that they have. It was handy because it suggested which shoe insert was best suited to my feet based on the height of my arch (or more specifically, this thing bases it on how much/little of your foot leaves an impression on the platform - the narrower the impression of your foot, the higher the arch is assumed to be).

This was a couple of years back and I can't quite remember what shoe size they suggested for me, so I can't say whether they suggested the size that I found best for me or not. I found the Specialized shoe size chart to be accurate for my feet, it's available here amongst other places, but it might not prove to be so accurate for everyone.
