Break the window well if you have windscreen cover

What car is it?can you get a coat hanger in at the locks? If it came to the worst it fould be cheaper to brake a window preferabley a driver's or passenger window avoid small corner windows they can be more pricy and a pain to fit

Try the coat hanger/ welding rod 1st

Surely you just need a key blade cut and not a remote locking/transponder job?

Insurance doesn't cover windows you break on purpose, but it may cover a replacement key.

Do you only have 1 key for the car?? Do you not have a spare one in a drawer at home or stashed away somewhere else??

What you can do is call the AA, and join them for a year, and they will come right away and sort it for you, think its only around 100e!

Does your car insurance include breakdown cover? Most do, so give them a call.

use your breakdown cover, ive done it, they will come out and break into car for you, replacement key cover will affect you no claims to best of my knowledge

    That'd be insurance fraud.

Get a windscreen company to come out and lift the window so you can get your keys. If your car is oldish a garage can also do that for you.

What car is it? Some cars are really easy to break into

If you dont have breakedown cover and dont want to claim on your insurance and your handy with a spanner ring your local breakers yard and see if they have a side window for your car. they are usually not expencive, 30 quid or so, get someone to collect it.

Get some sticky tape and tape up the window in the car and hit it with a hammer. The tape will help stop the glass going everywhere. Get your key. Refit the window from the breakers.

This. I was genuinely shocked how easily I was able to break into my old 3 door fiesta. Didn't even bother locking it from then on. :)

Try sliding the window down either with the palms of your hands or some non slip fabric, worked for me in the past!

Thanks for all the replies lads I prised open the top of the door and used a bit of wire. Worked out well. Thanks again.
