    I think it doesnt really matter where they fall, I mean, they likely fall all over the Earth, what the map shows are how many have been FOUND :)

    You can just imagine how many fall in the Sea / Desert all the time.

    I saw a programme recently about these two guys who hunt for them. A decent sized one could fetch a couple of thousand depending on it's size and composition. They focused in places where there was deserts. The black ones are easier to spot against the sand. So there's probably more on record there.

    Remember I said I saw one , I think it was the quadrantids

    It was so low and massive and I could see blue flames coming off it , it was scary :D

    Best thing I'd find with a metal detector would be 5c :p
