    Hi,

Might be looking for the impossible but possible looking for a runaround car (to and from work, under 10,000 km a week ). Budget of €5,500, can stretch a small bit if if offers something a lot better, nicer.
    • good mpg
    • low tax
    • as nice interior as possible
    • reliable

Something like a Golf Polo, Ford Focus jump to mind but any suggestions.

    Cheers,
    Pa.

How about an Audi A2 http://www.carzone.ie/search/Audi/A2/1.6-FSI-/31813598390852740/advert?channel=CARS
Or if you can find the 1.4Tdi version they are a very good car.

I would consider that if it wasn't so old, that'd put me off somewhat.

    What about this OP?;

Good mpg - Check. (Better mpg than, say, a Chieftan tank.)
Low tax - Check. (Lower tax than a Lexus Ls400.)
Nice interior - Check. (Moo skin everywhere.)
Reliable - Check. ( As reliable as any vag.)

FFS, he's even thrown in a picture of the missus.

    You know you want it.

Granted the social stigmatism but I wouldn't consider it an overly girly car in the higher spec models. Same goes for the TT RS.

Buy something fun for less money. Life is for living. Your mileage is small, and you have 5500. Spend 2-3k, it'll be a long time before you spend 2.5k extra on petrol over what you would have spent on petrol on the 'economic' car.

Good point here. The less economical cars are making nothing at the moment.

The Mini doesn't really have a great interior (and I own one!). Good to look at, but very hard/cheap plastics by Audi standards. The best thing about it is driving it, so you don't want the asthmatic Toyota diesel, get a Cooper.
