Hi.. bought some secondhand furniture, wardrobe, chest of drawers, MDF.. they have been painted with emulsion paint, which is all chipping.. I would like to repaint them with Satin wood.. but need to know should I remove the old emulsion first, or just sand it down and then repaint?? any advice please.. thanks. :(

Give it a good sanding and if your happy with the finish start with a couple of coats of undercoat before the satinwood coats. A fine sanding between coats is worth it too.
