"No TV Signal" on some (BBC) radio channels

    Hi folks,

I have WMC set up to receive Saorview and Freeview TV and radio stations. It was working fine until all the messing around with the missing EPG around Dec/Jan.

Since that was more or less resolved I re-ran my set up and since then I cannot receive some radio stations (including BBC radio stations e.g. BBC Radio 4). I'm still getting the EPG data for them but when I select the radio channel I get a 'No TV Signal' message.

I'm still receiving BBC and other Freeview TV channels loud and clear.

Any idea what the problem is?

    c

The list of transponders and channels that WMC uses is hopelessly out of date, so you'll need to rescan a couple of transponders to get the radio channels that moved recently. The BBC radio channels are now on ...

    10788 MHz V 22000
    10803 MHz H 22000

Thanks very much for that response Alun... I'll give that a go.

Hmm. Ok, gave that a go and am coming up with nothing... No new channels found and still 'No TV signal' when I try to listen to BBC Radio 4 through WMC.

(Is it possible I'm looking at the wrong satellite? I'm searching Astra 2A-B-D (28.2E) EUROBIRD 1 (28.5E).

Yes, that's the right one. It's working fine on my setup right now.

If you go into the EPG, click on the channel ID itself, then Edit Channel, Edit Sources, what does it say at the bottom of the screen?

It shows four sources (two more than before I did the transponder scan with your suggested settings ... so that's progress of sorts). For the two new sources it says the following:

7231 BDA DVBS Tuner #1 Frequency (Quality) 10788 MHz (0%) Locator Info: 2:2046:10381

7231 BDA DVBS Tuner #2 Frequency (Quality) 10788 MHz (0%) Locator Info: 2:2046:10381

Update: Shut down WMC and restarted. Am now listening to BBC Radio 4! Thanks Alun! :)

Great! You can probably safely deselect the two sources for the old frequencies if they aren't already.

Will do! Thanks again for your help.
