Tweaking a new Win7 install

I got a new SSD and put a clean version of windows 7 on it. What things do people recommend doing to get it running smoothly and cutting out bloaty services? (eg. I turned off printer spooler as I've no printer/disabled themes and Aero).

I there any setting in Windows 7 that I should set that are unique to having a SSD? (eg I hear conflicting things about the page file).

Make sure, defragmentation is disabled and TRIM is enabled (as they should be by default on a SSD installation, but you'll never know).

Disable drive indexing, disable hibernation, disable Prefetch/Superfetch, disable Recycle Bin, disable Reliability Monitor, disable memory dumps, disable System Restore, enable write chaching.

Check Black Viper's service tweak guides, various scenarios for all Windows OSs.

Page file? Who needs it anyway? :D
As the bards will tell you, turning off virtual memory is a very very bad thing, however, heaven never fell down on me when I disabled it. It may cause system instability (and few programs simply refuse to run if pagefile.sys is not present). So what? Virtual memory is only a few mouse clicks away, if required.

Now, you think Windows is bad for your precious little SSD? Wait until your web browser gets going. ;)
Install a RAM disk and use it is cache (drawback: saved passwords, cookies, etc. will be gone after each restart) or even better, as container location for Sandboxie. You can also use the RAM disk for the Windows temp directories (note: some installers maybe looking for the extracted files after a restart, then you'll have to change the environment variables temporarily and install the program again).
