Buying New Car Registration Plates

Any ideas where I can get a new reg plates. Not online either.

Local motor factors or halfords,

Halfords need you to bring proof of Id and the reg cert from the car before they'll make you a plate


If its for an import or brand new car they won't do it. I've tried both and unless you have the reg cert (impossible to ave till you tax it and get cert in post in both cases)

I think most garages have the equipment to make them up for new cars.

No idea what you would pay tho.

Usually about 10-15 quid each in most motorfactors

Slightly more expensive but cannot be faulted for speedy delivery.

Failing a motor factors then most main dealers have their own number plate pressing machines and should be able to do it for you. You might end up with their logo on the bottom though if that bothers you much.
