I wouldn't plastidip a whole car, it's fine for small plastic bits and wheels but i wouldn't do it to a whole panel

    Dont do it.

You will end up picking every bit of it off the car as you realise it looks like sh1t.

Might work for something "ironically cool because it's crap" like a boxy starlet or a vento. But only as an alternative to scouring a panel to make it rusty or slapping every panel with a sledge to increase it's "coolness".

In other words, what I'm saying is - it will most likely look sh1t. But hey, some people like sh1t looking car modifications:confused:

dar is the resident expert/enthusiast on plastidip.
But AFAIK he has wheels/trim done, not a whole car. In my opinion, plastidip is great for that stuff, dechroming etc, but I wouldn't do a whole car in it myself.

No shine off it though compared to the other vehicles.

Tbh I think its proof that things don't have to shine to look damn good.

Can Plasti-Dip just be applied directly to the surface you want covered, or do you have to prepare or pre-sand the object first or something?

Surface just needs to be clean and dry.

You can plastidip now and tomorrow just peel it off like nothing happened*

*getting an idea for a bank job.
