USC and Disability Allowance

Hi all, I am very confused here. I am in receipt of Disability Allowance, but I worked last year and was told I was entitled to half rate by DA Office in longford. Someone mentioned to me as I was getting DA I should not have paid USC. Can someone just clarify this, thank you.

Hi all,

You don't pay USC on any receipts from the Department of Social Protection. However, if you are in other employment, you would pay USC on that other employment income.
