If u think its the clutch , check the clutch fluid reservoir!

It probably the same resevoir for your clutch as your brake fluid. Check you brake fluid resevoir, engine oil and power steering fluid. Whatever it is you wont be able to drive it until it's sorted.

could be crankchaft oil seal ... look like -this ..

seal cost 10 euro, labor from 150 euro ,,... cos that timing belt off job, so usually advised change timing belt with other belts, water pump and probably some tensioners... which aint cheap .

I would say you have probably cracked your sump.

    how big is the puddle?
If you have checked all fluid levels and they are all fine, then I assume the puddle is small.

With fluid levels OK espically oil level, run the car and take off undertray cover (if you have one) and take a closer look.

The puddle is not massive, but it is still noticeable! I decided to leave it in to Atlas tyres in Kimmage to get looked at. I only hope that they do not come back looking for a couple of hundred euro! :(

So.... got a phonecall form the garage, apparently there is a crack in the sump. This will need to be replaced and also my brake pads on the front are worn down and will need replacing also. So in total:

    New sump - 90 euro
Set of brake pads - 70 euro
Oil change and oil filter - 35 euro
    Labour - 110 euro

    Total - 305 euro

    Does this sound reasonable?

yes but brakepads seem a bit expensive.
is that just for the front?
i got mintex ones a few weeks ago for my A4 fo under €30

That is what I thought - normally get the pads for about 35 euro. Might say it to him when I get there. I know that there is a bulb gone in the front, I wonder if I asked him to change it and include it as part of the deal would he do it?!
