Hi hope someone can help me here, I have Sky + HD and last night I went to record a programme but found I could no watch the football at the same time, I went to check the signal on the box the top two bars are almost 100% but there is nothing in the bottom two signal bars which means that I cant watch and record at the same time. I unplugged the box and started it again with no luck, the dish is rock solid as are the connections at the LNB and going into the box, anyone got and ideas as to what the problem is.

Swap the cables around at the back of the box so that will eliminate any problem with a "non functional" lead.

Make sure the box isnt set at single feed mode. Press the Services button and then 0,0,1 and select. You should see an option to to enable or disable single feed mode.

Thanks I will give that a try tonight, if everything is ok after trying what you say could the problem be the Sky Box.

Im no expert on these things but just picked up a couple of tips etc here in the forum but I would think that if both cables are working through the same connection in the box then the fault most likely lies in the box itself.

Just make sure that the connections are all secure and after testing the cables check the single feed mode setting as stated above. Also reboot the box (disconnect from power for about a minute) and if it's still not going right a quick phone call to Sky might get you sorted. It may just be something like a software update thats required.
