This looks very tasty. I love some of the effects. It actually looks like real film.

Has anyone ever used this plugin before ? tempted to purchase

i've used the plugins before, in my olympus and hasselblad bodies. they come in plastic cartridges, and contained therein on a clear plastic substrate.

With Lightroom it's not difficult to make your own presets - split them up into stages so you can tweak as you go. Plus there's loads of free ones to give you a head start.

Do you have Photoshop? I have a couple of film actions that I'm looking for testers for.

I have photoshop CS5 so I would be very interested in a sample of these.

As far as Lightroom presets go they're pretty good and make the most out of LR4's native settings. They come with camera profiles too. Aesthetically they look really nice and manage to inject some of the various film personalities into your photo. If you want to shoot a digital approximation of a specific film stock then it's a good start, just don't expect to use them without having to do some tweaking.

Obviously it's not the same as shooting the real thing. I'm not getting into a film vs digital debate though.

One of my favourite photographers Patrick La Roque has started using them quite a bit and he has a few blog posts on them that are worth a read.
