Didn't think we had a babysitter but one just volunteered to take our monsters for a night or two after the wedding and I'm looking for somewhere a bit different for a mini-moon in Ireland. Thinking along the lines of staying in a lighthouse, river boat or something totally out of the ordinary like that...

    Any suggestions?

not sure what your budget is sleepy, but there's some lovely places on the landmark trust website - including the lighthouse idea :)

We stayed here for a weekend and it was the most unique and romantic place we have stayed in Ireland:

We had the whole estate to ourselves for walks and cycling and you wake up to some view on the balcony in the morning where we made ourselves a lovely breakfast.

I just looked at this website. It looks beautiful. We are on a bit of a tight budget for a minimoon. Was it very expensive? No guide to prices on website.
