On my way home from work I heard a quick soundbite from the Neill Prendeville show in the news, about school girls in Cork fighting and the gardai had to be called.

It's all over my news feed too. Did anyone hear anything about it? Apparently the video was taken down from youtube.

So what I'm really asking is, does anyone have a link to the video?

Holy sh*t. A fight between kids now makes the news?

Back in my day it would have been newsworthy if a day went by and there wasn't a fight in school.

Kids these days with their video phones and their hippity-hop and DJs nowadays with their sensationalising everything and their tugging themselves off on airplanes.

Pffffttt..... sh*tehawks the lot of them.

The reaction to this and other similar stories really shows a horrible neglect to the goings on of teenagers as part of society. Fights, bullying, kids verbally abusing other kids has been going on since forever, but only now in the digital age with undeniable proof of video, audio and text is society actually paying attention.
Real collective head in the sand stuff. The worst part is if they keep giving an over-emphasis in attention to when it happens on the internet its just going to push kids back to bullying and fighting the old fashioned way without a paper trail. Where society can then return to happily ignoring it.

Just so you know, kids are the new adults.
