really want to visit iceland sometime this year but don't know how to go about it.
someone once told me that ireland doesn't fly straight from dublin to iceland and you have to either get a flight to england and hop on a plane to fly to iceland then.
is there a easier way to go about this and cheaper? because it all sounds abit expensive to get 2 flights and also a good hotel in iceland to stay in? 2 adults for 7 nights.

There's only certain charter flights to Iceland, the next one is in April from Belfast and it's full. EasyJet are starting to fly directly from the UK to Iceland in the next month or two so you could easily fly to London, Manchester, Edinburgh or Glasgow and connect from there. Alternatively you can fly to Oslo with Ryanair, but you'll have to go to another airport to fly on the RVK. Norwegian is another option, fly Dublin to Copenhagen, then on to RVK.

But I think once EasyJet start the regular flights it'll be a lot more reasonable.

OP sign to to the newsletter from www.icelandexpress.com They have sales on every 8-10 weeks and will email you offers that often include hotel packages. You'll still have to transit via London but that aside they do seem to offer some good deals.

just grab a cheap flight to London Gatwick and from there use WOW Airlines

A girl in work told me she picked up flights for £50 each way from London a couple of tyears ago but looking at the site now €90 is the cheapest i can see and thats flying out on a weekday but if you picked up a cheap €40 return trip to london 180 wouldnt be too bad to get to Iceland!

Ive been to Iceland twice with Iceland express flying from London.

Also took an internal flight as well which was good value.

Second time I was there we spend two weeks there and it was the holiday of a lifetime.
