Help! Ski Hire in Obergurgl

A group of us are going to Obergurgl in the coming weeks (very much looking forward to it!). Any ski hire shops I have found online to pre book ski's etc. seem to be very expensive – at least compared to other holidays I've been on.

I've only been able to find the usual suspects (Sport2000, SkiSet etc.) and a few local shops that seem as expensive as the larger network stores.

Anyone know of any hire shops 'off the beaten track' that might offer better value?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to Obergurgal? Try getting a group rate if there is enough of you.

There is nine of us of varying levels. Is that enough to do a group rate do you think??

buddy222; yep anything over 6 should get you a group rate with most rental places especially if there are a few VIP/Gold/Top level skis in there.

Thanks. I'll call around and see what the best prices are.

Are you driving up yourself or getting bus from Otztal? If so, the village of Oetz, on the road up is the answer to your question.

We are getting the bus. Those prices are much better.

    Many thanks!
