Actor Richard Briers, known to millions for his enduring role in TV sitcom 'The Good Life', has died at the age of 79.
Briers, also starred in shows such as 'Ever Decreasing Circles' and 'Monarch Of The Glen'.
Like many of my generation I grew up watching Briers in "The Good Life", great actor!
    RIP Richard!

Whenever I hear the word quintessential I always think of Richard Briers. I don't know why or quintessential what exactly though.

There was something so warm and endearing of him as Tom in The Good Life, he played it with gusto, and it seems that he was much like this in real life. One of those people that naturally puts you in a good mood. R.I.P Mister.
