    Hiya
Off on holiday to Spain and we will be flying Ryanair so we can ony bring pram or car seat.
We are thinking of renting a car seat for our 7 mo old with the car hire.
Does anyone know whether they usually rent the full ISOFIX system with base as well or is it just a strap in seat? I have tried calling but they never answer the phone...
    Thanks!

From what I have seen they tend to be strap in seats. What part of Spain are you flying to? There are a lot of companies here that specialize in renting out baby equipment and will meet you at the airport with carseats. Might be worth looking in to?

We rented one in portugal with the car from hertz last year and it was the oldest most battered carseat I have ever seen in my life. I asked for another, and it was all they had. I said i would bring our own next time. The hire of it nearly cost the price of a maxicosi over the few weeks anyway. Maybe spain will be better though.

Ps, can't you just pay extra for the buggy and get both on?

    thanks.

yes, i am happy to pay extra to ryanair and bring my own maxicosi carseat but i am never that happy with the way the carseat feels when not clipped into the ISOFIX base... it always seems to be too mobile and able to rock side to side when secured with just a seatbelt, so i had hoped that the car rental company may rent the ISOFIX base...

I just quickly googled baby hire equipment in Spain and there are some specialised baby hire companies that do provide ISOFIX.
