+1 on this was just going to ask the same question

is it possible to reedge a knife with serrated teeth in it?

is ebay my best friend when it comes to buying

    Spyderco tenacious,
I have the plain edge it's great i usually use it as my edc I have also grollaghed a deer and skinned a deer and rabbits with it. There is no blade play it's operation is smooth thanks to the bronze phosphor washers, The lock up is very good, It is a nice size, Feels good in the hand, Not heavy at all but can take abuse and holds a wicked edge. Best bang for your buck for sure, it's not made of a new super steel but it will hold a razor edge for a long time and is'nt a complete pain in the hole to sharpen.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^What he says^^^^^^^^^^^^

Cheap and decent quality; Opinel can be had for about €12, less even. And when you loose it you won't cry.

They keep a good edge and come in carbon or stainless steel models. I keep one in the hunting jacket and another in the car.

If you are seriously rich get a Rockstead.
If you are just wealthy get a Fallkniven.
If you can afford it get a Spyderco.
If you like value get a Buck.
If you want a cheapie get an Optinel.

If you have about six months to make up your mind look at all the options on Heinnie.com :D

Yes, The Spyderco sharpmaker will do the serrations or a DMT folding diamond sharpener will do the same thing but in a less versatile way.
I have both and they both work well on serrated blades.

Yes you will more than likely get caught out by customs i have on several knife orders. I would buy a spydeco over a cold steel all day long too they are of lesser quality imo i own a few of them.

Got my recon 1 from heinnie hayes in uk didnt get done by customs and as far a quality goes i really cant fault the knife its basically indestructable and ridiculously sharp and holds an edge, also its the american special forces chosen knife as well as the sas, if its good enough for then its good enough for anyone.

Have a Gerber Spectre as an EDC, retired a bit now in favour of an Applegate-Fairbairn covert folder.
They are both 154cm and as hard as hell to sharpen!

I'd say that they aren't great to fit in a pocket either
