Lost my P45

    hey guys. I lost my P45. Cant find it anywhere. Will my old employers be able to send me out a copy or am I wasting my time contacting them. Really annoying. Looked everywhere.

    They're not supposed to issue a duplicate. You can get a letter confirming details of pay which should suffice if it's for social welfare. If it's for a new job just explain you mislaid form p45, ask for new job's employer number and ring revenue and they can allocate credits to employment.

    hi i lost my p45 i woked until nov 2011 and have just started a new job feb 2013. does it matter that i dont have 1 or is there another form i can fill in that wont have me on emergency tax, if any1 get give me some advice it be great cheers.:D

    Once you move from one tax year to the next your p45 is not really supposed to be handed to a new employer.
    If you have started a new job, contact Revenue with your PPS, the date you started, how often paid and your new employers paye registers number (7 didgits with a letter at end of it)
    Once you provide this info, Revenue issue a tax credit cert to your new employer.
