Recommend an Arc Welder

Hi, im looking at upgrading my welder. im looking for an arc welder for doing handy jobs , take up to 4.0mm rods and work off standard 3pin plug. was thinking of one of them inverter ones but i dont know much about them or what ones are a good make. can anyone recommed one.
