    Hi y'all,

gonna get the old Xbox modded. but would like a larger hdd.

320gb seems like the biggest on pixmania and dabs for circa 70e.

eBay has 500gb and some hybrid drives.

suggestions for best drive and place to get one?

Not in a rush, all laid up at present with injuries.

You can use an IDE to sata converter and connect a sata hard drive

Ye I used a sata to ide adapter a few years ago and worked fine. There is one here on dealextreme http://dx.com/p/sata-to-ide-hard-disk-mini-vertical-bridge-adapter-card-12537 which should work fine going by the comments.

The suggested adapter above would do fine although I wouldn't order from dx personally - I'd probably source it from amazon or ebay.co.uk

I'll be the ants a picnic here, but I dont know is it worth spending money on a original xbox nowadays. They are not good enough to play alot of stuff on XBMC.

Also there is some problems with xboxs and larger sata hard drives. I kind of explain it here
